This class welcomes young children into the exciting and joyful world of dance. The syllabus has been designed to introduce young children to the building blocks of posture, creative improvisation, imagination and musicality that is taught through a series of exercises with a wide selection of music that lay the groundwork for proper dance technique.
Saturday 10.00am – 10.45amThis class encourages students to focus and coordinate to a greater extent. They are introduced to more individual and partner activities and the class will follow more complex choreography, whilst still keeping the focus on storytelling, creativity and imagination.
Saturday 11.00am – 11.45amThe syllabus incorporates Classical Ballet, Free Movement, a series of teachers arrangements and Character dance while providing a broad practical dance education. With care and individual attention each student can expect to reach their highest potential.
Grade 1 - Saturday 11.45am – 12.45pmStudents will learn techniques of contemporary dance, composition and partnering. Students will also learn techniques of improvisation and movement composition and will have the opportunity to create original collaborative work
Saturday 3.00pm – 04.30pm
